Stickies was inspired by Shobhit's fantastic Mac utility, Hold My Notes. We loved the screen-edge docking concept on macOS so much that we wanted Windows users to have a lightweight, privacy-focused equivalent of their own.

We built Stickies from scratch for Windows using Rust + Tauri v2, native Windows DPAPI encryption, and our custom slash command system (/calc, /standup, /clean).

Is Stickies available for macOS?

No. Stickies is designed exclusively for Windows using Win32 window management, native WebView2, and Windows DPAPI hardware encryption.

Does it stay visible over full-screen games and apps?

Yes. You can toggle "Always on top" from the edge dock right-click context menu anytime you need notes pinned during full-screen work.

How does multi-monitor support work?

Stickies currently anchors to your primary Windows display. Multi-monitor edge selection is on our roadmap, and global hotkeys (Win+Alt+N, Win+Alt+A) work across any monitor.

What are the primary keyboard shortcuts?

Win+Alt+N (or Alt+Shift+N) opens a new note instantly, Win+Alt+A summons the All Notes organizer, Ctrl+. cycles palette colors, Esc tucks the open card back into the dock, and Ctrl+Backspace deletes with a 10-second undo safeguard.

How does the 3-device license work?

A single purchase key allows active installation on up to 3 of your personal Windows PCs simultaneously. If you upgrade or replace a PC, you can deactivate a machine anytime directly from the license settings without needing to email support.

What slash commands are built into notes?
